Williet Adade

Williet was born and raised in Accra, Ghana, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in pharmacy at Central University. After completing her studies, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a Medical Representative and later as a Key Brand Sales Specialist.

Williet has also been involved in several voluntary health promotion programmes in schools, communities, and churches. Her interest in climate change grew through firsthand experience of its impact on the supply of medicines. These experiences sparked her interest in understanding how climate change affects health systems, particularly access to essential medicines in vulnerable communities. She hopes to contribute to the development of more resilient and sustainable healthcare systems that can better respond to the challenges posed by a changing climate.

Since October 2025, she has been deepening her knowledge in this field through the master’s degree programme in “Environment, Climate Change and Health.”

In her free time, she enjoys travelling, listening to music, and meeting new people. She particularly enjoys discovering new places, experiencing different cultures, and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds.

Williet started to work as a student assistant at the Chair of Planetary & Public Health in September 2026.
