Gunda Waldmann is a research assistant at the Chair of Planetary & Public Health at the University of Bayreuth. She holds a MD from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, where she is also pursuing a medical doctorate on the psychosocial burden of skin disorders in youth. In addition, she holds a B.A. in Political Science and Geography and is completing a Master of Science in Global Health Policy at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Her research focuses on the intersection of migration and health equity, as well as adolescent psychosocial well-being, with a particular interest in health literacy, discrimination, and access to care for marginalized populations. She is part of the research group on adolescent psychosocial health at the University Hospital of Munich and has contributed to projects on migration and health funded by the German Research Foundation. Through her interdisciplinary background in medicine, political science, and global health policy, she aims to bridge clinical research and public health policy to promote equitable healthcare for vulnerable populations.
