Egle Stakeliunaite

Egle was born and raised in Lithuania, where she later completed her Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy at Vilnius University. During the last two summers of her studies, she participated in a Work and Travel program in the USA. After her final visit there, she spent three months traveling through South America and continued to travel for shorter periods to South Asia, Southern Europe, and Northern Africa.
These travel experiences confirmed for her how important the topic of planetary health is, and how crucial it is to take action against climate change while protecting ecosystems, biodiversity, and human health.
In addition to Egle's strong passion for learning about other cultures and exploring diverse natural landscapes, she also enjoys spending time with people, staying active through sports, reading, and attending cultural events. Egle feels a special connection with the mountains - they bring her a deep sense of peace and gratitude. Being surrounded by such raw, powerful nature always gives her food for thought and encourages her to reflect.
Egle started to work as a student assistant at the Chair of Planetary & Public Health in May 2025.
