Field Trip to Planetary Health Exhibition (Deutsches Museum München)

On May 8th, students from the study programs Environment, Climate Change and Health, Global Food and Nutrition, and Global Health Ecology took part in an inspiring excursion to the Deutsches Museum in Munich.The visit focused on the museum’s newly opened Planetary Health exhibition, offering students a unique opportunity to explore how complex environmental and health challenges can be communicated through engaging and interactive science communication.
The exhibition is organized into five thematic sections — Air, Biosphere, Water, Substances, and Landscape — each highlighting the intricate relationship between human activities, environmental change, and human health. Through immersive and interactive displays, students explored different planetary boundaries and gained deeper insight into the interconnectedness of global ecosystems.
The excursion was a great opportunity for students to learn and experience study-related topics in a different and inspiring setting, combining academic knowledge with interactive and real-world perspectives.
